Paul Thomas

Guitar

Availability: Wednesdays. 6-9pm. Message for specific time slots.

Paul Thomas has been playing guitar for over 20 years and performing live since he was 15, playing with bands throughout the DFW area and beyond. He studied music composition and jazz guitar at UNT, but much of his experience has come from years of rehearsals, gigs, writing songs, and learning through the process.

Today, Paul primarily focuses on electric guitar and rock-oriented styles, but he has worked with artists across a wide range of genres, including jazz, blues, pop, and heavy metal. His favorite part of teaching is helping students find their spark, the thing that keeps them excited to pick up the instrument.

Whether a student wants to learn their favorite songs, improvise, write music, or better understand why certain things work, Paul’s goal is to meet them where they are and build from there.

He has also spent years working professionally in live and studio audio, so students who are curious about recording, guitar tone, effects, or how to sound their best on stage can absolutely dive into those topics as well.
